There are 11 individually designed rooms at Plas Dinas, all named after a member of the famous family, all lovingly restored and havilly featured in the national press. All rooms are en-suite with 2 of the rooms available as twins on request. Plas Dinas Country House offers a selection of Classic, Luxury, Deluxe, Superior Deluxe and a Junior Suite, including Princess Margaret. The house is over 400 years old so don't expect straight lines. This house offers character in abundance. A small number of the rooms are seen as dog friendly but dogs are unable to dine in the restaurant with guests. Their head chef was on Grea British Menu in 2025 winning the Wales week and going on to come second in the starter and joint 3rd in the mains. They offer a vry special dining experience in the shape of a 9-course hybrid taster menu.
Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Caernarfon area?
Caernarfon is a famous for its breathtaking castle and is perfectly located to explore the adventure capital of Europe, North Wales. Anglesey, Betws-y-Coes, Beddgelert, Mount Snowdon, Rib Ride, Zip World and Go Below are just a few of the wonderful attractions within a short drive. National Trust property, Plas Newydd is another favourite of guests staying at Plas Dinas.The surrounding coastlines are breathtaking with so many to choose from within a short drive.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
At the award-winning Gunroom Restaurant at Plas Dinas Country House. They were awarded thee AA Wine List Award for Wales 2025, awarded 2 rosettes and currently awaiting their 3rd rosette visit, feature in the Michelin Guide and are currently working towards their first MICHELIN star. The restaurant also boasts a small cocktail bar and honesty bar for guests to enjoy. The restaurant is headed up by Head Chef and TV personality Daniel ap Geraint. Advanced booking is recommended as this restaurant is intimate with room for around 40 covers and is popular with local diners as well as the abundance of oversees guests that will dine here day in day out. The monthly changing menu uses only the best in locally sourced and seasonal ingredients cleebraing local independent suppliers through its hybrid taster menu. They also offer the best afternoon tea menus in North Wales.
