A stunning island with glorious sandy beaches and the bluest of seas, this luxurious retreat is a truly breathtaking place to stay. Karma St. Martin’s is just a short distance from the beach and the ultimate in relaxation and tranquility.

What makes a stay at Karma St. Martin's unique?

A holistic hideaway in an area of outstanding natural beauty. This luxury retreat initially looks like an enclave of old stone cottages, but once guests step inside, they are immersed inside a stunningly stylish hotel. The views out over the ocean are truly breathtaking, the design is effortlessly stylish, with some quirky touches, and the Karma Spa is the ultimate place to relax and unwind.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Karma St. Martin's?

Classic English style, coupled with the unique Karma spirit, means that every room is the essence of luxury. Karma St. Martin’s features 4 Deluxe Rooms, 21 Ocean Rooms, 2 Superior Ocean Rooms, 2 Family Suites and a Honeymoon Suite.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Isles of Scilly area?

St. Martin’s is one of the stunning Isles of Scilly, an archipelago of five inhabited islands and 140 more that are empty except for wildlife and seabirds, 30 miles from the coast of Cornwall. The Scillies have long attracted people from the mainland, who come to explore, to tune into their creativity or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The beautiful countryside and stunning coastline make visitors fall in love with the area, and the excellent restaurants and cultural activities add to the appeal of the place. While staying on St. Martin’s, snorkel with seals, unwind at the Karma Spa, explore hidden coves, dive historic shipwrecks and sample the finest vintages in their wine lounge. Discover your inner castaway at Karma St. Martin’s.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Respecting the island’s heritage of foraging and gathering produce, the chefs prepare seasonal dishes from locally grown and ethically sourced food, served in the Sir Cloudesley Shovell Restaurant, which has 2 AA Rosettes, or alfresco in the subtropical front garden with panoramic ocean views. Wine conoisseurs will love the opportunity to enjoy a tasting experience at Karma St. Martin's, where the Wine Emotion System delivers wines by the glass at the perfect temperature and conditions. Alternatively, guests can enjoy elegant cocktails from the signature cocktail menu.

"Ok, here’s one we bet you hadn’t thought of – the Isles of Scilly. Luxury hotel company Karma Group’s latest venture is the only hotel on St Martins and sits by white sand beaches, subtropical gardens and crystal clear seas. On first sight, the hotel looks like a collection of traditional stone cottages dotted with palm trees and pleasant seating areas. The waterfront garden is quite simply almost impossible to leave on a hot day with a glass of something cold in your hand – the waves break on the beach and the views across the straits to Teàn and Tresco change as the tides and light alter. Staff are massively passionate about the island they live and work on and are more than happy to suggest walks on this most stunning of islands. Or you can hop on a hotel bike and be in town in ten minutes. Ideal."

My wife, our ageing dog and I visited in the first week in July 18. We have visited this hotel many times over the last 19 years and I believe the Karma team have now surpassed the very high standards set by the previous owners. The service and food were outstanding. Combine this with an immaculately clean hotel in a sublime location and it truly is an experience to savour. Of the many points in the hotels favour I recommend two in particular. The treatment and care of our 14 year old dog Rosie was exceptional and the seafood on offer from the local waters is amazing.

We have just spent two nights at the Karma Hotel. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the beautifully kept rooms to the incredible food. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing location, with breathtaking views, excellent hotel with attentive staff, wonderful food, although menu didn't change much during our stay, and the dessert menu not at all. We did enjoy a different main each night due to the few changes during the week, but doubled up or skipped the starters some nights. The staff kindly provided me with a dessert from the room service menu, when I asked about it one evening. TV / games area was nice, we enjoyed a few games of chess to music of our choice on the record player. You could also borrow books from the library, both fiction and non fiction. It was a good 20 min walk to the only shop on island. This was also a post office and off licence. There was also a bakery and a tea room. There was another cafe by the far quay, and a fish and chip shop. The one pub was just a few mins from the hotel, and had a good menu at reasonable prices. Lots of trips to the other islands. If you were lucky the boat left and returned to the quay outside the hotel, otherwise it is a 30 min brisk walk to the quay on the other side of the island. When arriving and departing from your holiday the Karma staff will meet the boat, and help you with your luggage. We arrived on the quay outside the hotel, but had to return from the other quay. The hotel drove us to the quay in time for the boat to St Mary's on the day of departure. The hotel staff advised us which boats we needed to take either side of our holiday. We would recommend walking shoes to be able to enjoy the many walks, both coastal and inland, often on uneven ground. We enjoyed excellent weather in June/July, the sea breeze being very welcome, however we had one day of drizzle where we needed our kagools. The wifi was ok. Tea, coffee and water in the rooms, with fresh milk which was kept in the mini bar. Hairdryer, safe, towels and robes all provided, as well as shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, hand soap and hand cream. No beach towels provided
We thoroughly enjoyed our week, spent relaxing, walking, eating and drinking. We hope to return one day.

Located on one of the less commercial Islands and in a simply stunning location for both sunrises and sunsets, you could almost be in the Caribbean . Even the trip to get there is an adventure on its own.
St Martins offers great walking, stunning beaches, and enough to offer to keep you occupied, with daily access to other islands.
The hotel is right on one of the two Quays, and with a gorgeous access is easy and is of a scale that immediately says 'friendly'.
The staff are simply fantastic - nothing is to much trouble and the food to die for. At the end of the stay we felt more like one of the family than paying guests.
Oh... and we don't own a dog but if you do.. this is THE pet friendly hotel for you!!

Lovely 4 day break at Karma. Gorgeous weather, beautiful islands, excellent food, comfortable and clean room with lovely sea view and friendly, helpful staff. It's our second stay and we'll be back for more! Many thanks to Scott and all his team.

Outstanding place, staff, service and food. Thank you for a wonderful trip.
The head chef was away during our visit, but I'm sure he will be very proud to know that in his absence his staff prepared food that was out of this world.

We had only ever heard of the Isles of Scilly as somewhere walkers and older people tended to visit so we were very happy to find that the visitors were very diverse and that the Islands are totally unspoilt and very beautiful. We felt that we could have been in the Caribbean or The Maldives. If you are looking for lots of touristy things to do you will be disappointed but the scenery and the general ambiance is really wonderful. The trips to see the seals and the puffins are wonderful and we were also very happy to find that prices on the Islands are very similar to the mainland. There are so many walks that you could easily cover many miles a day and the sunsets are spectacular too.

Absolutely magnificent in every way. The accommodation is superb and so is the food. The staff are well trained and you are well looked after.

The Island is part of the Scillies and is very peaceful and relaxing.

Will book a longer stay for next year.

Stayed for five days on a D B & B package..having been to St Martins before. We had a fabulous room with ocean views, amazing starlight, white sand, comfy bed & really wonderful meals. We were particularly struck by the good atmosphere between staff who seemed fond & friendly with eachother & who were obviously delighted to welcome old customers back.Well behaved dogs welcome. Good attention to detail without fussiness. Totally relaxing. Peaceful walks. Stunning views. A journey worth making.
