190 Queen's Gate, London, SW7 5EX
A quintessentially British hotel, just a glance from Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall, The Gore offers luxury, privacy and undeniable character in equal measure.
Since 1892, The Gore has been one of the capital's truly great hotels. The ethos of discretion, seclusion and excellence has allowed us to welcome a wide variety of fascinating guests through our doors.
Described by the media as the most photographed, romantic hotel in London and lived in by a wealth of regular guests who have discovered their own home away from home, The Gore is a welcoming alternative from corporate hotel chains.
Complete with the iconic Bar 190, the fabulous Bistro One Ninety and three bespoke event rooms, The Gore will make sure your stay is memorable whether it's just for a few hours or for a few days.
Gore Hotel is part of the following Inspirations:
"There’s something special about the capital at New Year and The Gore Hotel sits in one of the finest corners of it, Kensington. Founded in 1892 and built as a serviced residence for visitors to London’s Great Exhibition under the patronage of Prince Albert, it’s become a bit of a legend in hospitality circles and has hosted everyone from the British royal family to the Rolling Stones. Indulge in a seven-course New Year’s Eve dinner complete with a bottle of Tattinger brut reserve, naturally, and then take your pick of venues to party in and around the borough. We love the shindig at the look of the Sky Garden’s Great Gatsby NYE party where you can drink and dance in style amidst the greenery while absorbing the amazing views (and fireworks). Or why not go trad and book in around the corner at the Royal Albert hall where festive ballet favourite The Nutcracker is on."
"Carols by candlelight at the Royal Albert Hall Surround yourself with the splendour of the Royal Albert Hall illuminated beautifully by candelight and decorated in full festive regalia as some of the world’s best musicians, dressed in full 18th century costumes, belt out Handel’s Zadok The Priest from the Messiah, Mozart’s Alleluia from Exultate Jubilate and Vivaldi’s Gloria as well as all the classic carols. There will also be readings from Dickens and The Scriptures by actor Christopher Timothy Stay at: The Gore Hotel, slap bang round the corner from the Royal Albert Hall, is a classic British hotel from which you will find it very hard to extricate yourself. After your right royal sing song, ensconce yourself in Bar 190 (like the Rolling Stones used to) – possibly the most discreet and romantic drinking hole in London. Rooms are small but fabulous and the drawing room at the back screams old money and class. An institution since 1892."
