The hotel houses 25 bedrooms in total, each have lovely Lakeland views, and most lead directly onto the gardens – six Junior Suites have patio doors leading onto the gardens with their own patio area, whilst six large open plan Garden Suites have their own decked area with individual cedarwood hot tubs.

Gilpin Spice is an informal restaurant with inspired décor and an open kitchen transcending international boundaries. Its focus is to deliver a selection of sharing dishes, Desai personally sources the spices used to take guests on a spice trail journey that encompasses the Indian sub-continent, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan and China.

The Gilpin Lake House is just a mile from the hotel and houses six stunning rooms that all share a fully staffed boutique hotel that delivers a heated indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tubs and saunas, and exclusive access to 100 acres of grounds that hides a beautiful, small private lake. Gilpin Lake House omits the air of a country house but with all the services of a hotel. Breakfast is served at the Lake House and a complimentary chauffeur is available to take guests to dine at HRiSHi or Gilpin Spice.
The breath-taking viewpoint “Cat's Crag” is amongst the 21 acres and has 360degree Lakeland views and is the perfect habitat for the herd of wild deer living nearby. Alternatively, a fresh walk around the lake and the gardens are a special way to spend a morning. For those feeling a tad more energetic, there are some stunning runs and bike trails, coarse fishing for the initiated, the option for a swim in the lake, or just a bit of fun on the water in one of the rowing boats.
