Overview

Dunkeld, known to many as the gateway to the highlands and home to the beautiful Dunkeld House Hotel. A hotel that sits next to the flowing waters of the River Tay and belongs to an estate with history that spans back thousands of years. A sense of place best describes what one may feel upon arriving at a hotel so charmingly placed within the Perthshire landscape.

What makes a stay at Dunkeld House Hotel unique?

The hotel itself has received an astonishing refurbishment which has refined the hotels definition of luxury with an essence of the classic manor house tone. Infused with the delights of a modern interior, the new bedrooms facing towards the River Tay will have you feeling like you have truly escaped. Across the corridor, the bedrooms looking over the estate’s woodlands have received a colourful uplift to offer a different style and experience of the Highlands.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Dunkeld House Hotel?

During your short break with the hotel, you can choose to stay in the original grade 2 listed building, the recently refurbished extension or one of the pet friendly annex buildings that sit separate to the hotel within the beautiful well-kept grounds.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Dunkeld area?

Leisure and fitness facilities and an indulgent range of spa treatments are available at the health club, along with woodland and riverside walks within the large estate grounds. For those seeking adventure, clay pigeon shooting, salmon fishing, archery, quad biking, and the 4×4 Landrover Experience activities are all available within the estate. Located just 90 minutes from 90% of Scotland, including both international airports, Dunkeld House Hotel is an excellent choice for Scottish touring holidays.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Sit back and relax with a drink in hand in the hotels Ghillie’s bar or take in that glorious Scottish sun on the patio overlooking the Craigvinean Hills before heading to the newly refurbished restaurant. The restaurant has received a stunning transformation to offer a dining experience you all so greatly need after being stuck at home for the past few months. The menus display a variety of locally sourced produce and ingredients, whether that be from the more wholesome dishes found on the bar menu or from those found on the finer dining restaurant menu. Be sure not to miss out on the champagne afternoon tea inside the orangery with views across the rolling lawn onto the River Tay.
