The exercise room houses a small but ultra-modern equipped gym.

What makes a stay at Bodmin Jail Hotel unique?

It is rare to have the opportunity to experience a stay in an original jail, and certainly one so unique and rich in history.  Each bedroom retains unique features such as the recessed windows with bars, and natural stone interior walls and ceilings.

Tell us more about the rooms and facilities at Bodmin Jail Hotel?

Each room is made up of 3 original jail cells, restored in a beautiful way and furnished to a very high-quality modern standard.

Classic Double, Twins or Accessible rooms are available. In addition are Classic family rooms that contain a pull out sofa bed in addition to the double bed, perfect for up to one child (only one child per room).

Rooms feature a king bed with Egyptian cotton linens, a mini-fridge for fresh milk and a relaxing lounge area. The bathroom has a free-standing bath, walk-in shower and ecological toiletries made with natural ingredients from the British Isles.

Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Bodmin area?

Cornwall has much to offer explore the wild north coast beaches or take a hike up Bodmin Moor. The Camel Trail starts from outside the hotel and you can cycle the 18 miles to Wadebridge.

On-site there is the amazing Bodmin Jail Attraction, which has the immersive Dark Walk. If you are interested in Cornish  history then there really is no better place.

Plus the central location of the hotel allows you to explore beaches on both the north and south coasts.  For the thrill-seekers, there is Adrenalin Quarry!
