Throughout its history, the hotel has seen a number of owners, but in 1961, it was bought by Anne and Gerald Fox–Edwards and remains in the family to this day (run by Anne's son, Adam Fox-Edwards). Over the years, there have been many improvements and the hotel has been transformed from a sleepy roadside inn into a well-respected fishing hotel today.
