Overview

Come and discover award-winning Hoghton Tower, high on a hill in the very heart of Lancashire. Set at the top of a mile long drive, this beautiful castle has everything visitors of all ages would expect. History, stunning state rooms, walled gardens, dungeons and even a dolls house collection. There's a regularly changing events diary (look out for the ghost tours and the farmers' markets), accommodation on site, a lovely tea room and a rather nice gift shop. This is also a great venue for private events which can be held year round. We love the great views from the rampart - across the Tudor gardens and beyond. Fans of BBC's Last Tango in Halifax might recognise this gorgeous building - its state rooms were used in the marriage blessing scene at the end of the second series.
