This championship course was designed by Tom Morris and James Braid. It's just a 15 minute drive from St Andrews, 20 minutes from Carnoustie and only 10 minutes from Dundee airport.The clubhouse opened back in 1896.

Today's Golfer magazine has said that the trees, along with the gorse and heather, make Scotscraig's heathland one of the country's toughest courses. It is also seen as a strategic course that rewards accuracy and forward thinking.
What sort of course features can the player expect?
The course layout is based on a loop set-up, and it has hosted quite a number of tournaments over the years, such as the Scottish Seniors Championship, the Ladies Home Internationals and the Scottish Boys and Girls Amateur Championships.

Justin Rose almost qualified for the 1995 Open here, and he has described the course in glowing terms. Scotscraig was used as a qualifying course for the 2018 British Seniors Open.
