What style is the course at Carlyon Bay Golf Course?
On the Carlyon Bay Golf Course, you'll find 6,500 yards of challenging clifftop golf. Many of the 18 holes have breathtaking views across the bay and the course is maintained in peak condition throughout the year.
What is the feature hole?
The 17th hole is a 381 yard challenging par 4, that dog legs slightly to the left. With out of bounds all the way down the right hand side and tall Cyprus firs down the left, one needs to be sure of accuracy off the tee. The green runs diagonally across, and it is narrow and long, and is guarded by 3 short bunkers and another bunker the length of the green, long for any shot that is over hit. A par on this hole is a good score.
What sort of course features can the player expect?
The course has invitingly forgiving fairways, with light semi rough, and the greens throughout the year are at a fast speed. At the golf course, there is a large modernised clubhouse serving food and drinks all day, along with 2 pro shops. One of the shops is a specific ladies pro shop, and there is a facility to hire golf buggies, trolleys and golf clubs .
