Cliffe Terrace, Burry Port, Carmarthenshire, SA16 0HN
One of the finest Championship Links courses in Britain and currently ranked 5th best course in Wales, Ashburnham has hosted prestigious professional and amateur Championships, including two British PGA Championships and the 1976 Martini International Tournament.
Chosen as a qualifying venue for the 2014 and 2017 Seniors Open Championship, this event is one in a long line of important events held here since the early 1900s when Harry Vardon, the six time British Open Champion said “The course I like best in Wales is Ashburnham.”
Set in one of Wales’s finest coastal regions, Ashburnham has provided a true test of golf for more than 120 years. Open champion and revered course architect J.H. Taylor was behind the design of what is regarded one of the county’s finest links golf courses, highly praised by amateurs and professionals alike.
A friendly members’ club, Ashburnham Golf Club welcomes visitors to come and enjoy our course and take in the tranquil surroundings.
The traditional clubhouse overlooking the Lougher Estuary to the Gower Peninsula provides the perfect venue for lunch, dinner and weddings as well as business conferences and corporate events.
