What makes a stay at Valleyside Escapes unique?
Valleyside Escapes is known for a warm welcome, attention to detail and beautiful views. Adult glampers enjoy cooking up a storm on the outside fire pit with one of the renowned paella meal kits. Followed by drinks on the veranda, sipping wine from the local vineyard across the valley, while watching beautiful sunsets. There is also a private river meadow for glampers to enjoy exploring, wild swimming, fishing or launching a kayak! Younger glampers love sleeping in the cabin bed and playing games in the den underneath. Outside they are kept entertained by their very own play park and skittles court. Many hours can also be spent playing hide and seek with friends they have made and a highlight is always toasting marshmallows!
What is there to see and do at Valleyside Escapes?
There is lots to do on the doorstep - riverside walk, the Devon Railway Centre for families, Bickleigh Mill for a spot of lunch or a cream tea and some retail therapy, and a drink by the river at the Fisherman's Cot pub, just across the famous Bickleigh Bridge. A short drive takes you to many attractions - two National Trust properties, the National Parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor, gardens, waterfalls, theme, animal and country parks, the metropolitan city of Exeter, beaches on both north or south coasts - and many more - the list is endless!

The three large, fully-equipped safari tents sleep up to six. Each safari tent has a small kitchen area with fridge freezer, gas hob, toaster and kettle. The living area has a wood burner for cooler nights outside of the summer months. There is a king-sized bedroom and twin bedroom, each with their own access to the bathroom at the rear. The en-suite contains a shower with instant hot water, toilet and sink. Children love to sleep in the cabin bed which is situated in the living area but totally enclosed. The safari tents can be hired individually or you can hire the whole site sleeping up to 18.
