The natural appearance of the exterior is contrasted inside with a bright, light Skandi inspired interior with vaulted ceiling, full kitchen and beautiful bathroom. The Birdhouse is located on a beautiful Organic farm in south Somerset near the Devon and Dorset borders. There are a wealth of fantastic places to eat nearby form the Lord Poulett Arms on the doorstep in Hinton to River Cottage canteen and Mark His fish restaurant a little further afield. You can walk out of the door and take the footpath to the pub in the local village or over the hill for supplies in Crewkerne. If you want to explore by car there is everything from Montacute house ( the setting for Wolf Hall) to the whole of the Jurassic coast within 30 minutes.
Other Information
The Birdhouse is situated on Fordscroft farm just 2 miles from the town of Crewkerne which has a mainline train to London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids. Crewkerne has a large Waitrose and Lidl. The local village of Hinton St George just a mile away has a great village shop and there is a farm shop and restaurant just over a mile away on Lopen.
