The market town of Winster in the Peak District has many listed buildings which were built in the 18th century and is now designated a conservation area. One of the most noticable buildings is the Market House built in the 16th century. Winster Wakes is a week long annual carnival taking place in June involving morris dancing and a procession through the village.
