The the seaside town of Portcawl in South Wales overlooks the Bristol Channel. It has several beaches popular with tourists and some of the blue flag award. The town has many pubs, restaurants and hotels as well as a large funfair called Coney beach. The Grand Pavilion is the venue for shows and the annual pantomime. The pier at the end of which is a lighthouse is the sailing point for the Waverley being the last paddle steamer in the world, which provides pleasure trips in the summer.
