What do you think makes a stay at Hencote unique?
Hencote is unique. A settlement was recorded here in the Doomsday Book of 1086. A name that in Anglo Saxon times meant being at the ‘high table', its elevated position provides probably the best open country views anywhere in England. It is a place where you can just sit and take in the most amazing 180 degree vista, and there are so many different points on the estate to choose from where you can capture these sensational views.
And just below is a new English vineyard planted to the banks of the ancient riverbed of the Severn. Take a stroll through wet woodlands or along 36 Kms of carefully manicured vines.
Hencote is a wonderful place to reconnect with Nature.
What is there to see and do at Hencote?
Staying in the glamping village really does mean relaxation and indulgence. Just 300 metres from the village is the main winery building housing The View restaurant and its own wine and cocktail bar, enjoy the wonderful menus with the best locally and nationally sourced foods cooked on open charcoa fires and/or in a wood fired oven. And wash this down with its own award winning wines made from grapes grown in the vineyard and wines made next door in the winery.
Wake each morning and walk the perimeter of the vineyard or leisurely stroll through the ancient wet woodlands. Before lunch take a vineyard/winery tour and taste its latest wines. Book a workshop experience, or just relax.
