Trebah Garden is a 25 acre sub-tropical ravine garden, falling 200 feet from the 18th century house to a private beach on the Helford River. A stream cascades over waterfalls through ponds full of Koi Carp, and exotic water plants wind through 2-acres of blue and white hydrangeas that spill out over the beach. Huge Australian tree ferns and palms mingle with shrubs of ever changing colours and scent beneath over-arching canopy of 100-year-old rhododendrons and magnolias. A giant plantation of gunnera and clumps of huge bamboos give the garden a unique and exotic wildness, matched by no other garden in the British Isles.
