Explore a beautiful riverside garden at The Weir
Used for many years as a spot for swimming, fishing and boating, The Weir in Herefordshire is a riverside garden worth visiting in any season. Carpets of snowdrops then daffodils then bluebells run between ancient trees throughout the spring while summer's warm days are spent by visitors sitting and picnicking by the Wye amidst wild flowers and wild life. In autumn a visit to the walled garden is a must, its ripe seasonal produce bursting to life. Even on cold winter days there are things to spot in this beautiful countryside haven. The National Trust also holds loads of events here that are worth checking on the NT website – from tai chi classes and artist open days to gentle guided walks and family fun days.
