About Spetchley Park Gardens

Home to the Berkeley family for more than 400 years, Spetchley is filled with rare plants, trees and shrubs that have been collected from around the world and nurtured carefully, to create a garden that is inspired and imaginative, with vistas that delight all that see them.

Where is Spetchley Park Gardens located?

The 30 acre gardens at Spetchley Park sit surrounded by parkland in the glorious Worcestershire countryside. Spetchley Park is 3 miles from Worcester, and close to both junction 6 and junction 7 of the M5.

What style of garden is Spetchley Park Gardens?

It’s not about formal lawns and precise beds at Spetchley. Instead, the gardens are filled with plants, trees and shrubs, to create a series of ‘rooms’. In the spring, the daffodils, irises, lilies, magnolias and peonies are spectacular, and in summer, the stunning herbaceous borders are both bold and colourful.

What can guests enjoy at Spetchley Park Gardens?

The garden at Spetchley changes constantly, and it’s a delight for plant lovers and those simply looking for a gentle and inspiring place to relax. The Garden Tea Room sells excellent hot and cold food, making it easy to make a day of it, relaxing in such a superb setting. The Interpretation Centre allows visitors to learn more about the planting and history of the Berkeley family, and the new Natural Play Area is a must for younger visitors. The Plant Centre has a wide range of shrubs and plants available for sale.
