The attractive harbour town of Aberlady is on the coast at the mouth of Peffer Burn. The bay is a nature reserve and an ideal spot for bird wathchers. In the autumn thousands of geese arrive to over winter in the area. Seals can often be seen on the sand bars. There are two quality golf courses on the outskirts of the village.
