Rode Hall gardens are set in a Repton landscape created by John Webb between 1800 and 1810. The principle features are Rode Pool and the terraced rock garden and grotto. Rode Hall's renowned snowdrop walks take place from end January to mid March; and from April the wild garden is ablaze with rhododendrons and azaleas, with a carpet of bluebells. There is an Italian garden in the ruins of the old Tenants´ Hall. Many varieties of flowers, vegetables and fruit are grown in the working walled kitchen garden which is at its best from the beginning of June, including world record breaking gooseberries grown by the Head gardener.
