Discover the beautiful Farnborough Hall nestled in the Warwickshire Countryside
Bathed by the light bouncing off the honey-coloured stone of the glamorous 18th century Farnborough Hall, the grounds at this wonderful regal stately home are a delight to explore. This is a rare example of a ferme ornee (or ornamental farm), a style much favoured by the early 18th century landscape gardeners who wanted to move from grand, formal gardens to softer, more naturalistic designs. The hall's owner at the time, William Holbech II, came up with a more informal vision for his grounds and the result you see today – the lovely terrace, garden and parkland - is breathtaking. Elegant lakes, amazing vistas, quiet spots for contemplation and kaleidoscopic colours make this a peaceful haven for strollers. There is also a children's quiz and trail.
