Audley End House & Gardens

Submit Review

Explore One of Britain's Finest Jacobean Mansions English Heritage makes the most of the house's story and its successive owners (including Thomas Audley, Lord Chancellor to Henry VIII, earls, kings and the Neville family in the 19th and 20th century) by offering up a whole host of activities such as meeting the horses and costumed characters in the stables, hearing about what cook used to make in the kitchen and tours led by dressed up staff detailing what life was like above and below stairs. Outside there are stunning grounds which overlook the Essex countryside and you can enjoy the wonderfully restored parterre with its pretty bedding plants and lovely kitchen walled garden producing entirely organic fare.
