Discover the facinating History of Anglesey Abbey, Gardens and Lode Mill Thousands of people flock to Anglesey Abbey, Garden and Lode Mill each January to March to witness the wonderful Snowdrop Festival that takes place annually in the Winter Garden and on the Woodland Walk. But there is plenty more to see here through the year. This hundred-acre garden, created from 1926 onwards by the first Lord Fairhaven, is a lovely and rather grand blend of 17th century French style and 18th century natural landscaping. Wander down tree-lined avenues, explore the dahlia, hyacinth and semi-circular herbaceous gardens and look out for Lord Fairhaven's impressive collection of statuary dotted around the grounds.
