Move back in time to discover the past of Brodsworth Hall Brodsworth Hall, once the opulent Victorian Hall, provides a fascinating look into the changing fortunes of a previously wealthy family, with many of the original installations to fittings still in place. Crimson's silk, chandeliers, and vast gold-framed mirrors are among the many extravagant features of Brodsworth Hall, but this is no pristine set. Brodsworth was kept in a wearing patina, revealing how the family and their servants actually worked during 150 years of occupation.
What can guests enjoy at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens?
Catch sight of Victorian life at this' traditional as found ' country house. In the 1860s, Brodsworth Hall was built and the pleasure gardens were planned as an up-to-date new home for the Thellusson family and their servants. This survived with relatively few changes until it was taken over by the English Heritage in 1990. The gardens were revived, and the fading and aged interiors were gently preserved, telling the tale of the changing lives of the people who lived and worked here. Experience the tranquilly of the Morning Room, the grandeur of the Living Room, and the warmth of the Family Quarters, plus the stunning Kitchen show life' behind the stairs.'
