What are the rooms and facilities on offer at The Upper Deck B&B?
The Upper Deck Suite is a premium room overlooking Mounts Bay. Settle yourself down for the night in a cosy king sized bed, unwind in comfortable armchairs and enjoy a smart TV & audio system, or pamper yourself in the deep bath in your beautiful en-suite bathroom. The Lower Deck has a first floor bedroom which features two Cornish Bed Company cast iron single beds that can be linked together to form a super king. Lower Deck guests have exclusive use of the first-floor living room, which features a smart TV, BOSE sound system and sea views, as well as a gorgeous private shower room.
What can guests enjoy when staying in the Marazion area?
The town of Marazion is primarily renowned for serving as the gateway to the majestic castle of St Michael's Mount. In the beautiful Penwith peninsular, just 3 miles from Penzance, close to Land's End, St Ives, and The Lizard. From the doorstep, you can explore the SW Coast Path. Prussia Cove's pirate hideout or Perranuthnoe are both within walking distance. Expect beautiful coastal scenery, possibly dolphins and seals, and plenty of fresh air. For a bit of culture, take a picnic and book a show at the beautiful outdoor Minack Theatre on the cliffs high above the sea and beach at Porthcurno. The magnificent beaches of Marazion provide SUP and kayaking and safe bathing or rock pooling. You can also try horseriding on the beach and even swim in the sea on horseback.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
Breakfast is plentiful, offering homemade granola, muesli and marmalade, local and home-made bread, bacon and butcher's sausages from Vivian Old's in St Just and eggs from the neighbours chickens. Breakfast at the Upper Deck is served in your bedroom at the dining table overlooking the sea. Not having a communal dining room means theres no need to get dressed - you can have your breakfast in one of the complimentary dressing gowns or simply relax in your PJ's and enjoy a leisurely start to your day. Should you opt to stay in the Lower Deck, you will be invited to enjoy your breakfast at the table in the bespoke open plan kitchen diner. Marazion and the surrounding villages are endowed with fantastic places for food and drink. Your hosts have dined in a number of the local restaurants and cafes and will be more than happy to recommend places to eat with confidence based on their own experience.

During the high summer holiday period of July & August and for 2 weeks at Easter the whole of Britannia House is offered as a self catering holiday property sleeping six in style and comfort.
