The Old Parsonage has 3 bedrooms with private/en-suite bathrooms within the main house.
The George is a luxury four-poster king-size room featuring an ensuite bathroom with a bath and power shower, the bedroom space is funished with tradtional antique furniture and comfortable seating area overlooking the courtyard.
The Rachel is a light and airy room with pretty toile wallpaper and luxurious soft furnishings overlooking the main garden. It has a double four-poster bed with an en suite power shower room.
The Edward is a beautiful large 17th Century panelled room on the ground floor of The Old Parsonage with a luxury modern private bathroom with a sunken bath and power shower. The bedroom is furnished with a beautiful carved antique double bed and a single day bed for an additional guest or as seating.
There are also 3 self-contained self-catering options for guests to choose from; The Studio, a open plan studio with seperate shower room; The Pantry which is a large studio with seperate kitchen and power shower room, and the Loft & Courtyard Cottage which is a two bedroom cottage with one double mezzanine bedroom & ensuite shower room and one twin room with ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, large bright and airy living room with bi-fold doors opening onto the courtyard and a fully fitted seperate kitchen offering guest a luxury self-catering option.
Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Farrington Gurney area?
The village of Farrington Gurney is as old as the Doomsday book and provides a quiet location for breaks on the edge of the Mendips. The Mendips can be reached within 2 minutes of walking out of the Parsonage gates.
The village is connected by public transport to Wells, Bath and Bristol.
The Farrington Inn is a few minutes walk and offers plentiful gastro-pub style meals all day. Spice Dunes Indian restaurant and takeaway is a short walk away, on the way to it you will also pass Farrington Farm; shop, deli, play area and location of several boutique shops and salons.
Farrington Park Golf club overlooks the village from the south and can be reached on foot but driving up to it is recommended. The Lounge and 19th Hole bar serve food and drinks all day; the Park also has a driving range, gym and spa facilites and well as the Green Apple beauty & relaxation rooms.
