Imagine yourself as a private guest in a country house in the 19th century but with the modern comforts and the professionalism of your favourite place to stay. With only five bedrooms, we will offer a peaceful stay in rooms furnished with antiques and original artwork. A delicious a la carte breakfast made from local produce is included.
Our location is perfect for visiting the many local National Trust properties and gardens, a day trip by car or train into the Georgian city of Bath, or a stroll round its beautiful smaller neighbour the historical town of Bradford-on-Avon which sits on the River Avon and the Kennet & Avon Canal.
Tell us more about the rooms and facilities at The Green?
Our spacious rooms are beautifully furnished with carefully selected pieces of antique furniture, artwork and soft furnishings. All our guest rooms have large ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms with a separate toilet. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities and a hidden flat screen TV.
Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Bradford-on-Avon area?
We are well located for visiting the historic houses and sights of Wiltshire and Somerset. The magnificent Longleat house and Stourhead gardens are a 25 minute drive, Iford Manor and Great Chalfield Manor are a few miles away. The beautiful and historic town of Bradford-on Avon, is right on our doorstep where you can find The Wiltshire Music Centre with a fabulous programme of events available all year round. The City of Bath is 20 minutes away by car and easily accessed from Trowbridge or Bradford-on-Avon train stations.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
Included in your stay is delicious a la carte breakfast. We are also able to provide private dining by prior arrangement and hold supper clubs throughout the year. Excellent dinning can be found at The Olive Tree, Beckford Bottle and Menu Gordon Jones in Bath, and nearby we have some uperb local pubs and cafes to enjoy such as The George and The bunch of Grapes in Bradford on Avon, The High Pavement in Frome and the Wild herb Kitchen in Holt.

From May 2026 we will have 5 luxury bedrooms available. The Green is the ideal setting for an intimate private family gathering or a special reunion of old friends, book all 5 bedrooms for a minimum of two nights and we can help arrange a bespoke country house party designed around you and your guests.
