What makes a stay at The Old Town Hall unique?

The Old Town Hall B&B offers bed and breakfast accommodation to adult guests, in the delightful village of Redmire, in the Wensleydale countryside. Between Aysgarth Falls and Leyburn, Redmire is ideally positioned for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided on arrival, along with homemade cakes and biscuits. Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge, and in winter, the coal open fire will make this a real treat. An award-winning breakfast is offered each day, cooked to order using the freshest locally sourced produce and home baked bread.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at The Old Town Hall?

There are three luxurious and spacious first floor guest bedrooms at The Old Town Hall. The Wensleydale Suite offers a superking-sized bed, and a separate seating area. Its' ensuite bathroom has a stunning double spa bath, and a walk-in shower. The Swaledale Room is extremely spacious, and can be configured with a superking-sized bed, or with two single beds. Its private bathroom contains a full-sized bath and a shower over. The Wharfedale Room features a king-sized bed, and has an ensuite bathroom, again with a full-sized bath with shower over. Complimentary luxury Temple Spa toiletries are included. All rooms are immaculately presented, and the overall experience is one of luxury and pampering.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Leyburn area?

The Yorkshire Dales has so much to offer the visitor. Bolton Castle is only one mile away.  Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force are both stunning waterfalls that are not to be missed. Walkers will enjoy the circular routes that are literally on the doorstep, and the owners will be delighted to advise on the many routes and attractions nearby. Maps and guidebooks are available for guests to borrow.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

An excellent, award-winning breakfast is served daily, using the freshest local produce. Guests can opt for a Full Dales breakfast or choose specials such as smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. Lighter bites, such as yogurts and fresh fruit are also available, along with home-baked bread. Gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan dietary requirements can be catwered for.  Please advise at the time of booking to ensure produce is available. Homemade jams and marmalades are sold in aid of the local air ambulance charity. For guests that want to eat locally, the pub is just a minute's walk away, and it serves great food. There are plenty of other pubs and restaurants within 10 minutes' drive, and local taxis are available for those who don't wish to drive.

Perfectly located in the picture postcard Dales village of Redmire, the Old Town Hall is a truly outstanding place to stay. Every aspect of the guest experience is superlative, from arrival to the heroic breakfast. I have never stayed anywhere so beautifully clean and well maintained - it's beyond immaculate. There is not one point I could offer for improvement - remarkable. Tips for other travellers Redmire is an ideal base for exploring Wensleydale and its beautiful scenery on foot and by car. The immediate area caters for a wide range of i...

Perfect in every way. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Attention to detail was immaculate. Especially loved the Temple Spa products in the bathroom which added a touch of luxury. The complimentary wines, truffles etc.were much appreciated, thank you. The food was amazing and the hosts welcoming to just the right degree. Everything was exactly right and we will definitely return again. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our 25th wedding anniversary.

One of the finest experiences anyone can have when staying away from home. Louise and David make sure that their guests are catered for in the most perfect manner. From the best, freshly cooked breakfast you will ever have, to a genuine interest in making sure you get the most from this wonderful part of Yorkshire, they excel. Thank you. We will be back. Tips for other travellers Bolton Castle - a day out in itself; and the walk across fields from Redmire, with the constant backdrop of Penhill, is simply stunning. The circular road-trip, ta...

Amazing rooms that were tastefully furnished including a bottle of wine and chocolates. A lovely touch. The breakfast was delicious home-cooked, locally sourced and home baked bread. The owners couldn't have been more helpful including providing us with detailed maps for journeys around the Dales.

Perfect stay for us, was more like a 5star hotel than a b&b, cannot fault a thing during our stay. David and Louise were perfect hosts, beautiful breakfast, cake when we arrived back weary from our walks, even the offer to collect us should we get lost during our Walks. We rarely holiday at home and will definitely be doing this again. David even sponsored me during the week as I was walking 50k for the British heart foundation.

This was our third stay at this wonderful B and B and it won't be our last. The three bedrooms are superb, spacious, very comfortable and spotless. We have never had better breakfasts anywhere and the choices would cover everybody what ever their dietary needs. When you return from whatever you have been doing during the day, there is always freshly baked cake in the dining room, delicious. Louise and David have just won an award for the best B and B in England and it is so justly deserved. Well done!

I highly recommend this luxury BB. It was part of my birthday treat from my husband and we both were blown away by the quality. Our room was totally lovely and thanks to the host's exceptional eye for detail it had everything (and to a high standard). Included in our room: homemade shortbread, sachets of decaf coffee and caffeine coffee, hot chocolate, every kind of tea, the best-stocked complimentary fridge I've ever come across (two artisan chocolates in a little box, elderflower & ginger cordial, Ribena cordial, water, kit-kat, orange club...
