Sheepfold is a delightful Bed and Breakfast in the ancient village of Shipton-under-Wychwood. Guests will love its superb location for visits to lovely Cotswold villages, and the renowned Oxford, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon are within easy driving distance. There are three inns serving good food at 2-10 minutes walk from the house.

What makes a stay at Sheepfold unique?

The B&B has a wonderful outlook over fields and has a very restful ambience. The emphasis is on good, locally sourced food, and made-to-order vegetarian and vegan breakfasts are a speciality. Guests are made to feel very welcome, with tea or coffee and home made cake on arrival, and plenty of leaflets and maps of the local area to help maximise the enjoyment of their stay. The two bedrooms rooms are lovely with a fresh and light feel, and sparkling en-suite bathrooms. While Sheepfold has only been open since Spring 2018, it has earned a wealth of top class reviews in this short time.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Sheepfold?

Sheepfold has a super king or twin double room, and a king double room, each with en suite facilities. Furnishings and flooring are of a very high standard, and are contemporary, fresh and light, and the walls have restful original artwork. Each bedroom has tea and coffee facilities and a flat-screen TV. Guests can also make drinks at any time in the guest sitting room, where fresh milk is available. There is a terrace and garden, and guests can also play table tennis.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Shipton-under-Wychwood area?

Shipton-under-Wychwood is a typical Cotswold village, with a range of local inns within walking distance. The village has a beautiful Wildlife Garden which guests are welcome to enjoy - a lovely place to while away an hour. The owner of Sheepfold is on hand to advise on places to visit for day trips or local walks.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Delicious freshly cooked breakfast dishes include a full vegetarian cooked breakfast (with home made sausages), smoked salmon or smoked trout with scrambled eggs, avocado on toast with roast tomatoes, and smoothie bowls. The owner makes her own granola and muesli. Suppers can be found at three lovely local inns in the village itself, or further afield - the owner is delighted to recommend.

It has been a lovely three days stay. Mary is a special mistress of the house: we felt like home as we entered her beautiful house and the very nice bedrooms. Everything is perfect, much care to details. Last but not least: Mary's cakes are number one!!! Thank you.

A haven away from the frenetic daily grind. Mary gives a warm welcome and continues the luxury-away-from-home with home-made granola / marmalade and cake. We felt spoilt and pampered. Can't wait to return for more.
