Penicuik is an attractive town located on the River Esk, set amongst the Pentland Hills. The wide, busy tree-lined High Street is dominated by the Town Hall, other notable historic sites include several Iron Age forts nearby and the old Parish Church of St Mungo. A good place to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside.
