The Wiltshire town of Melksham lies on the banks of the River Avon. Places of interest include the parish church which was rebuilt around 1300. Melksham house built in the 17th century. There is a nature reserve near to the River Avon and a riverside walk. The town has good selection of shops, cafes, pubs and is the fifth largest town in Wiltshire.
