Culross village looks across the River Forth and sits in an industrial landscape which is why Culross Palace and Abbey come as such a shock, dating back to the late 1500s and restored to its original mustard yellow render and wooden shuttered condition. Culross is a 16th century time capsule with much of the village frozen in time.
