Lovely peaceful spot, amidst an oasis of nature. Everything in easy distance for day trip exploring - from beaches & coastal walks to country houses & gardens. Extremely dog friendly and our two Norjacks were made to feel very welcome. Wonderful morning sounds of wildlife & surroundings. Alex & Jonathan were super helpful with some great local recommendations for walks & pubs. Would love to return and see the changing scenery in the summertime! Thank you for the best Christmas break!

Superb and quiet location at the end of a single track lane and with the river Wensum at the bottom of the garden. Inside the owners garden but tucked away and private this was a lovely location for us. Lodge is well equipped, very comfortable and warm. Bed was particularly cosy. Thanks to clear skies we experienced a true dark sky with a clear view of the stars - as good as a recent trip to Northumberland. The Scunthorpe Mill Pub is a two minute walk away strongly recommended.

This was our second visit and it was great to be back for another lovely and peaceful stay. The lodge feels like a retreat and had everything we needed including breakfast and a comfy bed. We saw lots of birds sat out by the stream. Alex is a friendly and responsive host. If you like peace and nature this is well worth a stay. My partner wants to live there!!

This is an idyllic place to get away from it all. My partner stayed here with our dog and it was perfect. A short stroll to the pub and 10 minutes from the coast we would highly recommend! The lodge is very comfortable with mod cons etc. The fridge was stocked with breakfast goodies, there is a small cooking ring if you want to cook.

An absolute amazing stay at a great location. Would highly recommend and we will be back to visit again . The hosts were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we had there.
