In the village of Belford, Market Cross, previously part of a Georgian coaching house, is now an award-winning luxury Bed and Breakfast. Your hosts, Amanda and Steve, have been running the house since 2012 and have styled it to be warm and welcoming.

With four unique rooms, there is a room fit for every guest. All double rooms have king sized beds and all rooms are ensuite bathroom or shower rooms. Beds and linen are chosen to provide a restful nights sleep so you feel refreshed for the next day. Quality service and luxury facilities from the White Company toiletries and Nespresso machines and large screen LED Smart TVs in each room. Each room has a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, and a fully stocked hospitality tray. Each with a variety of teas, other drinks, and, of course, homemade treats. There is also a full size hairdryer, ironing facilities and mini fridges on request. You can stay connected throughout the entire house via the complimentary Mesh WiFi. During the summer, the garden is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the evening sun.
What can guests enjoy when staying in the Belford area?
Belford is located in North Northumberland and close to the A1, making it an ideal location for exploring the surrounding and further afield areas of interest. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, including an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) along the coast. St Cuthberts Way and St Aidens Way, are just a couple of the many, walking routes Market Cross is on or very close to. Likewise, there are an array of excellent cycling routes. The Coast and Castles and the Sandstone Way are just a few examples. There is also excellent bird watching, seals, and dolphins off the Farne Islands. The magnificent castles of Bamburgh and Alnwick (famous for its Harry Potter connection) are just 15-20 minutes away and a must to visit in the area. There is something for everyone.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
Market Cross pride themselves on the quality of their food which has gained them two AA awards for quality. Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room and is an extensive selection comprising of things you'd expect to see as well as a few that may surprise you.
