Lovesome Hill Farm

B&B

Welcome to Lovesome Hill Farm where guests can enjoy the delights of staying in the peaceful countryside overlooking the Hambleton Hills. Start your day with a hearty farmhouse breakfast using only local produce and homemade bread and free-range eggs. All rooms are en-suite. Lovesome Hill Farm is very much a working farm offering seasonal delights throughout the year. A tour of the farm is available or you may just take a relaxing stroll across the fields using the countryside stewardship margins to the wood.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Lovesome Hill Farm?

A range of en-suite rooms are available for anyone from business to leisure visitors, from singles to families and friends. Why not make a welcome stop on the way to the North or South. Many attractions are easily accessible to us. Every one of the en-suite bedrooms are beautifully furnished with a double in the main farmhouse with a double bedroom and a further four bedrooms in the converted granary, all of which are on the ground floor. Dogs and animals in the house are not allowed but are accepted if they sleep in the owners vehicle (except guide dogs).

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Northallerton area?

In the small hamlet of Lovesome Hill, the Farm is only 3 miles north of the County Town of Northallerton – not far from 'Battle of the Standard' historic site. In Northallerton there are wonderful shopping options and on Wednesday and Saturday there is a very busy market.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

The hearty Farm House Breakfast, cooked on the aga, is served in the dining room and in the granary dining house which are adjacent to each other. If and when possible, with prior notice and at the convenience of the host, a set dinner menu can be made available. The food is homemade and wholesome, using fresh local products or home-reared meat as much as possible.

We arrived at Lovesome Hill Farm and we were greeted by John who made us a beautiful pot if tea. He sat with us and chatted and filled us in on the history of the farm. We told him my reason for coming to stay near Northallerton. It was the town where my great grandfather was born. Our room was deli...

My wife and I stayed here with two other couples as part of our Coast To Coast walk. It is a bit in the middle of nowhere but is only a minor deviation from the recognised track. John & Mary are wonderful hosts. They sat us out in the garden for afternoon tea shortly after arrival. John later showe...
