The Close B&B is a Queen Anne townhouse in the middle of the charming small Cotswold town of Minchinhampton, with a large garden in which to relax. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous in all seasons, and there are many visitor attractions nearby, including Highgrove Gardens, Woodchester Mansion and Park, Westonbirt Arboretum, Rodmarton Manor and Chavenage House.

The Close is a lovely place to stay, with characterful, spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite bath or shower rooms. The award-winning breakfasts include fruit, granola/muesli, yoghurt, croissants, and many cooked options. Guests can help themselves to homemade cakes. Dogs are welcome, by arrangement. Minchinhampton Common is nearby and there are lots of public footpaths, giving loads of possibilities for refreshing walks in beautiful surroundings.

Minchinhampton is a great base for touring the Cotswolds. Tetbury and Cirencester are within easy reach, and they both have great character and lots of independent shops. The award-winning Stroud Farmers' Market (Saturday mornings) is a lovely excuse to pop into Stroud and experience its quirky mix of vintage and bohemian shops. Further afield, you can reach Bath or Cheltenham, and the north Cotswolds, in less than an hour.

There are many dining pubs around a mile away, including The Old Lodge, The Ragged Cot and the Weighbridge Inn. Minchinhampton currently has two excellent cafes which are open for snacks and lunches.
