Overview

Brookhill House was built in about 1843 by the Borrer family. It is surrounded by lovely peaceful gardens and is close to the South Coast and many of the beautiful Sussex and Kent gardens. There is also easy train access to Central London.

What makes a stay at Brookhill House unique?

Brookhill House is a very welcoming family home, with 2 labradors in residence. Well behaved, friendly doggy visitors are always welcome to share it with the owners' dogs and to enjoy the lovely walks accessible from the garden. At Brookhill House, one can plan the day over a leisurely breakfast in the dining room or, in good weather, on the terrace.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Brookhill House?

The Attic Suite boasts a king-sized bed in a large, airy room, with a sofa to relax on at the end of a busy day, enjoying the TV/DVD and tea and coffee making facilities. It has its own bathroom next door and wonderful views over the countryside. The Green Room is a very pretty double room with an en-suite shower room. It has 2 comfy chairs to relax in and a TV/DVD and tea and coffee making facilities. The views over the garden are lovely. Both rooms have WiFi.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Cowfold area?

Brookhill House is only about 30 minutes from Brighton and the fun of the South Coast. Goodwood and Glyndebourne are only about 40 minutes away and Central London is easily accessible by train. Explore the South Downs National Park or visit some of the many spectacular gardens nearby. Treat oneself to a ride on a steam train or explore the old centre of Horsham, the local market town.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

For a traditional, dog-friendly local pub, look no further than The Hare & Hounds in Cowfold, just 5 minutes' walk away, or be more exotic and try the Cowfold Cottage Tandoori ( 3 minutes' walk). Within a 10 minute drive, there are various excellent pubs, many with lovely gardens. Alternatively, one can spoil oneself at The South Lodge Hotel or Ockenden Manor Hotel. In Horsham, there are various restaurants, including Michelin-starred Tristans.
