What makes a stay at Bossington Hall unique?
Allan Hughes, one of the last great independently-minded, nineteenth-century ship owners, designed the house in 1911. Created with a number of interesting and quirky spaces, able to cater to a large family and their individual needs. The house has been modernised tastefully with mains pressure plumbing, Commercial grade WiFi and 1000+ pocket spring beds. The breakfast choices are varied, and the ingredients hand picked from local suppliers - even the sausages come from a different butcher to the bacon!
The facilities for walkers and hikers are well thought out - there is a Boot room next to the front door, where muddy boots can be stored, alongside a laundry room where wet anoraks can be hung up to dry, there is even a basket of special Dog Towels for the furry ones. Clearly signposted walks are available right from the back gate across North Hill and along to Hurlstone Point.
The master bedroom is truely spectacular, with dual aspect, panoramic views of the sea and the gardens. Relax in the roll top cast iron slipper bath and step out onto underfloor heated travertine tiles in possibly the largest bathroom you will see.
The Greenaleigh suite allows for families or a little extra privacy, as the private lounge has two sofa beds, ideal for children, or a working holiday at the desk.
The Embercombe and Danesbrook rooms can interconnect via a soundproofed double locked door, for older children or families, still with spectacular views from the oak mullioned windows. These two rooms accept dogs.
Relaxing on the terrace, soaking up the sun and breahtaking view will take all your troubles away.
The attentive staff will make sure that you have a fantastic holiday break.
