Such a lovely welcome after a long, hot journey and tea and cake on the terrace. Our bedroom and bathroom were beautifully light and airy, very comfortable and overlooked Sue's stunning garden. Our evening meal was taken at the pub over the road which had very friendly staff and customers. We were surprised to be able to walk through a nearby gate later in the evening and wander inside the remarkable Grosmont Castle. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for a day visiting 'old haunts.' We would certainly make a return visit when passing this way again. StephanieE
