You won't come across another attraction like this in the UK – think giant space-age halved golf ball-like biomes looming out of impeccably landscaped gardens – right in the middle of nowhere. What started out as one man's dream to convert a china clay quarry near St Austell into a paean to the relationship between plants and humans has resulted in a fascinating world of discovery. Experience the sights and smells of the rainforest, ascend a 50ft high tree canopy, spot cola trees and see how chocolate grows. Take a mooch through the lemon and olive trees and the perfumed herb gardens as you soak up a journey through the Mediterranean, South America and California. There's also 30 acres of outdoor planting here and some gorgeous sculptures and installations dotted around the grounds.
