Sutton Hoo is part of the following Inspirations:

The Top Ten Places for a Family Break in Suffolk by Lisa Burn

"Travel back in time and discover Anglo-Saxon life at one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. Beneath the grassy mounds that surround you as you walk, archaeologists uncovered the burial chambers of noblemen, complete in one case with what was left of a 90ft boat – its imprint cast forever in the soil. Swords, spears, shields and precious jewellery were also found, some or which can be seen on site. A great place for hands-on history fun."
