There is so much to do at Manor Farm and Country Park in Southampton that you may want to come back straight away after your first visit. Make the acquaintance of Mrs Earwicker, the farmer's wife, down on the Victorian Farm and take a farmyard walk to learn about how life was lived in the 1800s. There are lots of animals for the children to meet (we love the chicks and ducks), you can help with the milking of the cows and even learn about Victorian farming equipment. Over in the school room, make sure you sit down at your desk in time for the start of lessons or maybe escape the crowds and take a tranquil stroll along the banks of the River Hamble – there's crab fishing at the jetty if you fancy. This is also the point in the river where the medieval naval vessel Grace Dieu sank back in 1439. A large X marks the spot!
