Overview

Tucked away in the grounds of a 300-acre estate, you can find Go Ape in Normanby Hall Country Park. This classic English mansion is 5 miles north of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It plays host to two of Go Ape's high-rope experiences, catering to those aged 4 to 104. Whether you're looking for things to do nearby with the kids or a day out with friends, the adventure is covered. Treetop Adventure is a one-hour experience aimed at kids and young families. The Treetop Challenge is for those over 1.4 metres tall and is 2-3 hours of high wire obstacles and zip lines.

Things to do in the local area?

You can tour the magnificent Normanby Hall and its award-winning Victorian Walled Garden in the vicinity of Normanby Hall. From January to the end of September, enjoy a stroll around the Deer Park and go fishing in the well-stocked lake. For outdoor enjoyment, the estate also has play spaces, a kid's splashpad, a land train, a farming museum, and activity trails. There's a gift shop for mementos and wonderful food served in the Stableyard Café. It's the ideal location for a varied day trip.

Know Before You Go:

  • Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
  • Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels.
  • Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.

Normanby Hall Country Park is situated north of Scunthorpe just off the A1077.

It is easily accessible from the M180 and from Hull. It is signposted from the M180 and the Humber Bridge.

Parking charges are £5 per day. Please note that the country park does not accept cash payments.

By bus:

Normanby Hall Country Park is accessible Monday to Saturday by public transport.
