Located close to Royal Tunbridge Wells, just off the B2079, Bedgebury Pinetum is an award winning visitor attraction. It's nestled in the heart of it. And, the three high ropes courses sit proudly amongst an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Tackle tricky crossings, fly down speedy ziplines and navigate yourself around the forest canopy. In the surrounding area, you may visit the vast Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, which has walking and cycling trails. There is a play trail for children, a café for refreshments, and picnic areas where you can enjoy the breathtaking Pinetum vistas.

Know before you go:

  • Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
  • Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip-off shoes, open toes or heels.
  • Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.
  • Admission fees apply at Bedgebury Pinetum. £11 per car term times Monday to Friday, £14.50 per car weekends, school holidays and bank holidays. Card payment available.

  • Bring the bikes or rent a bike and enjoy one of the cycle trails.
  • Coming on a Saturday? Get here for 9am and do the parkrun first!

By car:

Bedgebury Forest is signposted off the A21 on the B2079 (Lady Oak Lane), approximately 12 miles southeast of Tunbridge Wells and 16 miles northwest of Hastings. When approaching the B2079 (Lady Oak Lane), please follow the Brown signs for Bedgebury Pinetum & Forest. If you are coming from Goudhurst along the B2079 (Lady Oak Lane), please follow the Forestry England signage for Go Ape.

The location is at the Bedgebury Forestry England site. Please be aware that the postcode covers a vast area and sometimes sends visitors to the wrong location. It's recommended that you use What3Words as it is more precise. If you use the postcode, it's advised to double-check the location is correct before you begin your journey.

Go Ape is tucked away up a hill - keep your eyes peeled for signs.

Please note that you'll need to pay an admission fee per car at Bedgebury Forest:

The car admission fee at Bedgebury is £14.50 per car during weekends, School Holidays and Bank Holidays.

The off-peak admission fee is £11 Monday to Friday term time. The machines in the car park accept card payment only. You can pay for parking on arrival or departure.

It's advised  to car share and plan your visit to make the most of your day.

Morning Offer: £3.80 per car if you plan to leave the forest before 11:00 all year round.

The car parking admission includes access to the pinetum, bike trails, award winning adventure play trails, mountain bike routes and all-ability scenic walking  routes through the forest.

By train:

Etchingham (on the Hastings line from Charing Cross or London Bridge) is the closest station to Bedgebury. It is about a 45 minute cycle ride up the A21 (there is a footpath along the edge of the northbound carriageway).

By bus:

The nearest bus stop is Flimwell Corner Farm (near the Flimwell crossroad).
