Discover the Beauty of Scotland at Balmacara Estate Balmacara Estate provides a rich blend of breathtaking scenery, coastlines and spectacular views across the Skye Mountains. Enjoy a walk through the dense forest with its 20th century undergrowth, gardens and terraces mixed with the natural beauty of the rugged coastline. Paths flow softly between the rhododendrons and the later ferns, Fuchsia, bamboo and hydrangea. There are fascinating additions from Australia and New Zealand as well. Color and value can be seen from early spring to late autumn. A fascinating variety of archaeological and historic sites awaits, including the open-air church in Plockton and the original site of the farm, the millhouse and the ice house, to name but a few.

Mainly accessed by A87(T) Inverness to Kyle road but can also be accessed from North by way of the A890 from from Achnasheen and Lochcarron. Lochalsh Woodland Walks is 2.5 miles east of Kyle, just off the A87(T), as is the Square.
