Go back in time and Experience the Battle of Hastings Explore the sight of the infamous Battle of Hastings, 1066. Take a tour the excellent exhibition on the site that explains what happened that fateful day with the help of a CGI film and interactive displays. You'll get a real feel of what England was like back in the 11th century and understand why events led to the battle and what the ramifications of this most famous moment in history were for England. Stand on the very spot where King Harold is said to have been shot in the eye with an arrow as you take an audio tour of the ruins.
