This 17th century hotel is set in the heart of one of England’s loveliest locations, where the only ‘traffic sounds’ you will hear are footsteps or donkeys’ hooves upon the ancient cobbled street. The eight comfortable en-suite rooms, decorated in the style of the fabled William Morris, enjoy different views of the village, and all but one have sea glimpses too. The New Inn specialises in traditional English cooking at its best, using fresh local produce. Clovelly is a truly unique and timeless fishing village, where the steep, cobbled street tumbles down past 400 year old cottages covered in flowers to the ancient harbour. Glorious walks and breathtaking views, fascinating history and traditional crafts are a few of Clovelly’s attractions while others lie hidden down tiny winding side alleys just waiting to be discovered. Luggage is portered to the New Inn by sledge from the car park.
