Built in the 1800s as a coaching inn providing stop offs for travellers to nearby Highclere Castle, home to present Lord and Lady Carnarvon, this Grade II listed building is conveniently located just a few miles from Newbury Town Centre. You will find a wonderfully warm, relaxed and inviting atmosphere created not just by the sophisticated blend of tradition with a twist of modern elegance but also by the young and enthusiastic staff. Our stunning dining room has a high vaulted ceiling and stylish oak furniture whilst the rest of the inn is beautifully furnished throughout in warm and rich colours.
