The Rose & Crown

The Rose & Crown is an 18th century coaching inn set on the village green in a picture postcard English village overlooking the old stocks and water pump, and next to the Saxon church (known to locals as 'The Cathedral of the Dale'). Every bedroom is different - some with beams and antique furniture, some more contemporary in the Courtyard and a couple with a private sitting room. Indulge in the lovely restaurant where you'll find polished oak panelling, crisp white tablecloths, sparkling silver, soft lights and delicious food. Or you can chill out in the even more relaxed Crown Brasseriewith candles in waxy old bottles and fun pictures of pompous French waiters.
